Raanu in Hemp – Weaving Project
This weaving project was woven on a 4 shaft table loom, but can be woven on any 2 or 4 shaft loom.
In a Raanu, at least 2 colours of weft are woven in a tabby weave. The colours alternate with each other on every pick – so that the wefts interlace and go over and under each other. The pattern is in reverse on the opposite side of the cloth.
