I have become increasingly concerned about the amount of tracking and personal information that is given to Google and other websites during online browsing but unfortunately I have now had to add Google Analytics to this website in order to make it work properly. I was having issues with sending emails or newsletters from this website, as the messages were being tagged as ‘unsafe’.

I DO NOT USE Google Analytics tracking as I don’t feel comfortable with all the tracking. I also don’t find the reports it provides to be very useful
I have replaced this with Matomo Analytics software as this provides better user privacy.
All data is stored privately on my website.
IP address location data is anonymized. I only see the country that a visitor is from and not a specific location.

Advertising
I have become more concerned lately regarding internet privacy and tracking.
Therefore, I have now removed all Google Advertising that was running on my website. The Google ads used to help to pay for my website costs.
I am continuing to include affiliate advertising for Amazon Books and Craft Supplies as I think these are useful to the weaver and craftsperson. Most of the links to books, etc are text-based only. There may be a few display ads. No personal information is passes on to Amazon.

Web Server Hosting
I am in the process of moving my websites to another web server host. My websites have been hosted in the US for many years. The costs of web server hosting continually go up, therefore I am moving the server to another country that offers significant savings in server costs. The .com version of this site will be transferred once the majority of the files have been moved.
